ABOUT THE GRIEF RECOVERY METHOD

Grief is a natural and human emotion following a loss - whether it be a death, a divorce, a significant relation, a loss of a job, of a pet or a major change in your life - such as a move. 

What is grief?

Grief  is defined as ‘the conflicting emotions that follow the ending or change in familiar patterns of behaviour". How you experience that is individual, but most important losses are often painful. 

Usual reactions to grief and losses are

  • A feeling of being numb

  • Moodswings

  • Difficulty in focusing

  • Irregular sleeping patterns

  • Changed food habits

  • Loss of energy

It is very individual how the reactions to grief are being expressed and they may change over time. Grief does not happen in a specific process with fixed stages, but is more like a wave going back and forth. 

There are number of myths associated with grief, but please let me kill the biggest one: No, time does not heal all wounds. Recovery does. 

Course on grief - which will lift your spirits

I offer a training where you during 7 meetings each lasting one hour (an individual training) will learn a step-by-step program and will get a tool box so that you with great probabbility will get better and where you learn how to recover from your grief. Should you want to be in a group, we meet over 8 times for two hours and you will gain a network of others in similar circumstances.

Grief Recovery Specialist - courses in Danish and English

I am a certified Grief Recovery Specialist and currently the only one offering this training in Denmark. Unfortunately. It is a very efficient method. I offer the training in both Danish and English. ​​​

Throughout the training we will be using the book The  Grief Recovery Handbook which you order through this link. As homework you will be reading some of the chapters before our meeting and you will be given home work as well.

I keep our conversations confidential and it's important to me that you feel safe. Should you wish to join a group training, we have a rule that what we talk about stays in that room. Forever.
